Sexual immorality and impurity were characteristics of the world that surrounded the Thessalonians and they are characteristics of the world that surrounds us. God has called His people to be separate from the world and separated to Him.
When we pray this, we’re not praying for wheat or white, but for our basic needs. What kind of faith do we have in our heavenly Father to provide what we need for each day?
God is a Father, THE defining Father. He has a unique place as Father and it is treated as a fundamental characteristic by the New Testament writers. God is not just a father who wants to do what is best, but a Father who can and will do what is best.
